Breaking in, and getting back out in an effort to leave no trace.
Welcome to this year’s F.I.B Tamper Challenge!
This year, the F.I.B agency is back again and needs your help breaking into a package to alter some evidence.
The challenge will be split into two sections: Beginner and Advanced. Participants may compete in both sections but teams are limited to two people. Both challenges will contain some sort of package with multiple layers of tamper evident devices. The objective is to get to the center of the package, retrieve and alter the data, and put everything back together leaving no trace behind. More mission details and specifics will be provided with the package.
Everything you need to know…
How to Play:
Contest begins on Tuesday October 24th, 2023 at 1:00 pm MDT
Stop by the Tamper Evident Community and sign up for either the Beginner or Advanced challenge. The objective of the game is to reach the center of the package undetected. All game materials must be returned by the contest cutoff.
Contest ends Thursday October 27th, 2023 at 4:30 pm MDT
- Get in undetected and leave no trace.
- In case of a tie, speed will be the deciding factor.
- Don’t destroy game materials. It defeats the purpose of the challenge anyway and points will be subtracted.
- Teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, but teams will be limited to two people.
- Return all game materials even if you weren’t successful.

What should I do to prepare for the contest? — Research different types of tamper evident devices (i.e. seals, stickers, bags, clips, ties, packaging, etc) Be prepared to use different handy tools (i.e. syringes, hair dryer, heat gun, pliers, cotton swabs, glue, etc.). We will have some tools for you to use at the Tamper Evident Community, but the majority of work will be done on your own
