Welcome to the A-Maze-ing Hackers Challenge Puzzle.
This Challenge is “Impossible” for a Human, “Extremely difficult and nearly impossible” for a straight-scripted approach, and generally requires an AI “Runner” to help you solve it with any efficiency.
IT’S SIMPLE
It’s a Maze. It uses Cardinal Directions for navigation (N, S, E, W). But it also takes advantage of the third dimension: Up! It sounds simple, and it is. But as you explore you will figure out the task is much larger than you might expect.
RULES
- Don’t attack the infrastructure. Our AI will BAN you for abuse. It’s a one strike and you are out approach, so stay within reasonable guidelines.
- You can have more than one Runner active at the same time, and there are connection limits. Respect them!
NOTE: Connection Limits may change depending on performance, so check periodically.
- To claim credit for a win, the Runner must contain your handle used in Discord. No attempts to say “the AISmackDown runner is mine, I can prove it” will be honored. Match the handle, or don’t collect credit. An unclaimed win is as good as a loss.
- Beta Testers, and those with previous knowledge of the game are not eligible to win.

- Your first goal is to build an AI assisted solving “Runner” to navigate the maze.
- Your second goal is to optimize the runner for speed and efficiency.
- Your third goal is to solve the maze.

- Use the same Handle for all Runners. This could be important later.
- Use AI help to build adaptive Maze Solver.
- Always have a Mission Runner exploring the frontier.
HANDLE SPECIFICS
If you employ multiple runners, you can designate them separately as long as they contain the same handle-name. For example Jup1t3r-1, Jup1t3r-Fast, and Jup1t3r-Logger are all ok for the Jup1t3r user. We do recommend that unless you need a separate designator, use the same handle on all runners.
