The Lock Pick Community (LPC) is a fully immersive, hands-on hub where newcomers and seasoned pickers alike dive into the mechanics, techniques, and excitement of locksport. Participants get real tools, real guidance, and real insight as they explore everything from beginner-friendly locks to advanced high-security locks and everything in between. With one-on-one help from our staff and volunteers, large 3D-printed cutaway models, and access to a wide range of lock types, the LPC makes it easy to understand how locks work and even easier to level up your abilities.

Earn the belts

Building on the popular dojo-style belt ranking system from Lock Pickers United, the LPC invites participants to climb from White to Black as they master progressively tougher locks.

This year brings even more energy with breakout sessions, community access to tools, and potential competitive events like the **Blue Whale challenge** (pick white-to-blue belt level locks with the best time) or a digitally timed speed-picking challenge with a running real-time leaderboard.

The LPC is designed for learning, challenge, and pure hands-on fun. It continues to grow as a vibrant space where people return year after year to sharpen their skills and push themselves further. This year builds on the success of previous years to make it the best LPC yet.
