AI Governance in the Real World: How to Quickly Build an Enterprise Framework

Organizations everywhere are discussing AI governance, but relatively few have successfully implemented it. This presentation is a practical case study of how a small security team at an FDIC regulated financial institution designed, implemented, and operationalized a complete AI governance program using the NIST AI Risk Management Framework as its foundation. Attendees will learn how an organization wide AI risk assessment evolved into policies, procedures, risk registers, security review processes, employee training programs, acceptable use standards, and board level governance. Rather than focusing on theory, this session provides a practical roadmap, lessons learned, implementation challenges, and real world approaches that attendees can adapt within their own organizations.
